Uncle Robert and PawPaw visiting MawMaw’s grave - 2018.Went for a hike on the Haw River last weekend when it was still warm out. #hawrivernc #hikenc #fungusamongus #hikingadventures #nc #gooutside #sunsetontheriver🌅These first two pics are the last days with my little Cabby. I gave him his morning hug before work and randomly decided to snap a couple of pics of us together. I miss him so much. He was my snuggle buddy, my pal. I am having a hard time adjusting to life without him, but I know I will in time. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, but it wasn’t fair to him for me to keep him here. I’m so sorry friend, and although I miss you painfully I know you’re not hurting anymore. I love you. #catsofinstagram #petlosshurts #goodbyemyfriend #orangecatsrule #20yearsstrongDay 9 - Exploring #Phoenix and the #ApacheTrailScenicByway. Finally got to see a saguaro up close. :). #10yearanniversary #2yearsmarried #seguaro 🌵#roadtripusa #arizona #canyonlakeDay 8 - A few more pics of the Sinagua cliff pueblos (there were a TON) and then we stopped by #MontezumaCastle, which is an incredible engineering feat and housed around 35 people, they think. The last pic is of “Castle A”, which they think was even larger than Montezuma Castle. It’s hard to believe hundreds of people lived in these amazing structures built into the rocks, and their ingenuity, creativity, and the harmonious way they worked with their environment is truly humbling to see standing - 1000 years later. 😳 We spent the rest of the day exploring the state, and I REALLY loved #JeromeArizona and driving through switchback roads up and down the mountains and canyons, all the way to Phoenix. #montezumacastlenationalmonument #nationalparks #pueblos #arizona #walnutcanyonDay 8 - Can you spot the cliff side dwellings? We visited Walnut Canyon which has a nice little paved hike through the canyon down to some ancient Sinagua cliff pueblos from around 1100 C.E. You couldn’t even see the bottom of the canyon in several places, and there were tons of lizards and cactuses. 🌵:D It was only a little trek down and then back up 220+ stairs 😜 #walnutcanyon #walnutcanyonnationalmonument #hikingadventures #sinagua #nativeamericanhistory #arizona #10yearanniversary #2yearsmarried #lizardsrock #cactusesrock #geologyrocks
